The Grownup Version
Phil Goodhart’s background in direct response marketing begins in 1986 when he was recruited from Harvard Business School and launched an 18-year career with the Danbury Mint (a division of MBI, Inc., located in Norwalk, CT), a prominent direct-to-consumer retailer of gifts and collectibles. During that time, he was responsible for planning, coordinating and implementing hundreds of direct mail campaigns, a primary driver of both acquisition and repurchase/retention mailings. Phil was known as one of the most innovative marketers in the company, always pushing the envelope on new creative approaches and target audience development – while ensuring profitable, aggressive growth.
After that, Phil served as a omnichannel marketing leader for direct-to-consumer retailers and lead generators: jewelry, apparel, gifts, apparel, elementary school classroom supplies, personal development, health and wellness, and more. He has also recently served as an account executive and strategist for Google Ads digital advertising clients – making Phil unique in having extensive experience in both online and offline channels.
Phil earned a BA in Economics from Princeton and an MBA from Harvard. He has served as a volunteer, Board member and Board president to nonprofit organizations. He lives in Trumbull, CT with his wife.
